How much should I charge?

Since experts with higher community ratings have more visibility on our site, if you’re new to the platform, we recommend starting with a slightly lower rate ($8/15 mins) to get things started. For mentors with 30+ sessions and/or jobs under your belt, the rate can range from $15/15min to $30/15min.

If you’re an experienced Codementor with hundreds of sessions (or a senior developer with 5+ years of experience), you’re welcome to set your own rate depending on your expertise and experience. Please reconfirm your rate, though, with a mentee and have their agreement before starting any sessions.

Users will be charged a minimum of your 15-minute rate when starting a paid session. After the initial 15 minutes, the user is charged per minute. Please be aware that we do also have a platform fee.
