How does billing for mentorship sessions work?

You'll need to buy prepaid credits or add your credit card here to start a session on Codementor — we also charge an additional service fee for payments. Billable time begins after you click the Start a Paid Session button, and the cost will depend on the mentor's rate and session time.

If you are using your credit card to pay, before you enter the session room, a pre-authorization hold will be placed on your card. This is not a charge - we will automatically refund you the amount after you pay for your session or after 24 hours (whichever comes first).

If you are using prepaid credits, before starting a session, you will need to have at least 20 minutes worth of credits, based on the mentor's rate.

The minimum charge of a paid session is the mentor's 15-minute rate. Afterward, you’ll be billed in per-minute increments.

If you don't have any issues with the invoice after your session, the cost of the session will automatically be deducted from your payment method after 10 minutes.
